Call: Workshop of the Emerging Scholars Forum of the Association for Canadian Studies

Deadline for written expression of interest to present: 15 January 2021

Nachwuchsforums der Gesellschaft für Kanada-Studien - Emerging Scholars Forum of the Association for Canadian Studies - Forum des Jeunes Chercheur-se-s de l'Association d'études canadiennes

As a part of the virtual meeting of the Association for Canadian Studies (GKS) in February 2021, the Emerging Scholars Forum organizes a research and networking workshop for early career researchers - be it bachelor/master or doctoral students. The workshop provides researchers at earlier stages of their career with the opportunity to present and discuss their current Canada-related research and receive feedback from fellow researchers. The workshop also presents the possibility of getting in touch with other early career scholars in the field of Canadian Studies.

The workshop will probably take place on a workday’s afternoon (approx. 2 hours). Short presentations can be given in one of the three languages of the GKS: German, English and French. Your written expression of interest should not exceed 250 words and should be submitted to Diana Thiesen (thiesen [at] uni-trier.de) and Johannes Müller Gómez (johannes.muller.gomez [at] umontreal.ca) by 15 January 2021.
Please indicate the title of your project and briefly outline your theoretical and methodological approach and the main content of your research. We will let you know about the details (presentation formalities etc.) as soon as we know how many people would like to participate (by 20 January 2021 at the latest). Please do not hesitate to contact the organizers if you have any questions. We are looking forward to learning about your current research projects!
