On July 16, 2020, the IRTG Diversity's PhD researcher Rahab Njeri defended her thesis on "Black Canadas: Constructions and Representations of Blackness in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto 1960-1990" (Supervisors: Ursula Lehmkuhl, Universität Trier/Norbert Finzsch, Universität zu Köln/Afua Cooper, Dalhousie University, Halifax).
